Update to another phone horror story – Community News No 870 We were badly impacted by the bush fires on 8th November 2019 that swept through Rainbow Flat and Koorainghat. We lost all our services including the land line. Telstra came and installed a satellite phone for us, however due to some mix up it was first connected and then disconnected, so effectively was a waste of time. Once services were restored I contacted Telstra to uninstall and remove the satellite phone. Despite repeated requests they never did. I went into the Telstra shop in Taree several times but nobody…

Phone and internet on ” the mountain ” —– what a joke ! Where to start ?????? In the mid 1990 ‘ s we had better mobile phone coverage than we do today — that’s what we call “progress” ( that was with analog phones and now we have digital, only much better if you have service, worse if you don’t !)
