When did the publication launch?
The Mangrove Mountain & Districts Community News was started over 40 years ago to provide the local community with a means of communicating important local news, social activities, and information from further field but still of interest or concern to us.
Who started this publication?
The local residents at the time had formed the “Mangrove Mountain & Districts Community Group” and they realised that effective communication was necessary to unite our widespread local community. Thus, the Community News was born.
What is the history of the printing?
Originally typewritten and photocopied, the Mangrove Mountain & Districts Community News was later produced using standard printing processes evolving from hot metal, photocomposition, and then offset lithography with computer typesetting.
