The community gathered for the commemoration of The Way of The Cross on Good Friday in April

An initial donation from George and Georgia Sidiropolous has kicked off a wave of improvements to Holy Trinity Catholic Church at Spencer.

The 117-year-old building at 4200 Wisemans Ferry Road has benefited from new paint, guttering, air conditioning, carpet, doors and storage, but none of the old character has been lost. Most of the funding has come from one anonymous donor, with all the work coordinated by Anne, Chris, Matt, Tom and Daniel Carroll. Concessional pricing was provided generously by Doors Plus at West Gosford and Virtual Joinery at Somersby.

A major boost came from a $5000 grant made by the 2025 Country Fair. The grant was the largest single allocation made by the Fair last year and the first ever to the church. The Catholic community is very grateful for the funds, recognising in particular the effort of the many volunteers who make each Fair happen.

Holy Mass is offered monthly on the first Saturday at 4pm. Everyone is welcome to come along — Mass takes about half an hour. The Church is part of the Parish of Gosford. Our Parish Priest, Fr Paul, or his sidekick, Fr Bronek, are always there and very welcoming. As Spring comes around we often have a cup of tea and a spray of Aeroguard after Mass. If you’re not yet a Catholic that’s no problem: we can handle everything from baptism to burial on site! Mass is also at the Greek Orthodox Church at Central Mangrove each Saturday at 5pm.
