We held our last community group meeting on 4th December. It was good to discuss the agenda and also have a cheer to celebrate Christmas and the holiday season. Our next meeting will be on 6th February.
Items discussed: Some playground equipment at the Hall has been damaged and we are looking at replacing them. The December Christmas Markets had a record number of stalls attending. We are studying the group’s Constitution with the aim of amending it early next year. Two committee members, Claire and Poppe, have been chosen to represent the community on Council’s newly formed Mangrove Mountain Advisory Sub Committee (Water Catchment). The Mangrove Emergency Planning and Communications Committee (MEPCC) is having two test nights on 11th and 16th December to see who can be heard on the CB radio system. We are constantly in contact with Council to get our fair share of funding and maintenance. Our Councillors would like to come to Mangrove Mountain to meet us.
