The Mangrove Mountain Country Fair was a true showcase of local spirit, authentic connections, and teamwork. Our CWA Mangrove Mountain Evening Branch was proud to be part of this vibrant event, where locals came together to share talents, stories, and delicious creations.

It was great to see our other local branches at the fair too. Peats Ridge and Districts and Somersby all participating and serving record crowd numbers again this year.

Congratulations to all our CWA ladies who volunteered and supported our local community event, with true community spirit and love.

By 1pm, our stall had completely SOLD OUT — over 270 jars of homemade jams, pickles, relishes, and preserves were snapped up by fairgoers. It was a wonderful example of locals supporting locals.

Highlights from Our Members:

Catherine Sottaz: Multiple 1st place ribbons for lemon butter, rhubarb & strawberry jam, checkerboard biscuits, and her rose. Plus 3rd place for knitted socks and cross stitch sewing kit.

Karen Boskos: Won awards across photography, craft, and cooking — including Best in Class for her Spicy Tomato Relish.

Judy Betteridge: Engaged with the community, promoted CWA membership, and appreciated the personal thanks from Country Fair President Steven Raines.

Kirra Thorogood: 1st for Halloween wreath, 2nd for Halloween baked entry, and 2nd for photography featuring Odin the horse.

More Than Just Ribbons — the fair was about building fair dinkum connections. Stallholders, volunteers, and organisers worked side by side, creating a space where friendships flourished and community spirit shone.

Thank you to everyone who contributed to this fantastic event. We’re already looking forward to next year!

If you are interested in joining our branch, we meet every 2nd and 4th Wednesday of the month.
