We have a new Spring date for Mill Creek Wonders walking into the heart of Hawkesbury sandstone country. New Date: Sunday 28th September, 8.30am – 4pm. Starting with morning tea at a Hawkesbury River cafe we set out for the valley and gradually ascend through gullies amongst honeycomb caves to Flat Rocks Ridge engravings. On the way identifying the spectacular wild flowers, majestic water gums and angophoras. Hear about the histories of Gunderman and Mill Creeks and McCarthy’s explorations of these open air galleries with Paddy Pallin in the 1940s while exploring off the beaten track with like-minded others. Ticket Price: $85 + Booking Fee. The walk is led by local outdoor guide Mike Breheny, who has lived in the Mangrove Creek area for over 30 years. Mike is joined by local historian Bernadette Flynn, who will share stories, histories, and insights along the way. Join Heritage Ventures 28th September. Meeting in Gunderman.
