Saturday 18th October
Opens 9am till 3pm
How do you plan to start your Country Fair experience this year?
Some people will be enticed into the Hall early to find out: how their entries went, how did the kids go, who won the Contemporary Art, who won the Family Aggregate, which school won the best school display, who got the CWA prizes, who won the Produce trophies, did the judges award any Best in Class sashes and where can the children collect their prize money?
Lots of us will just enjoy looking at all the various displays in the Hall, such as admiring the ultra tiny flower arrangements and trying to guess the book, movie or TV show behind the flower construction in front of us.
Other visitors start their Country Fair day outside as there is so much to see and do: all the animals under the trees, great rides, delicious food, circus fun, competitions, displays and stalls run generously by our local volunteer groups.
I also really enjoy going to the Fair site the day before especially, and encourage everyone to pop down and say g’day and see how the set up is going.
