Hunter LLS recently partnered with Worimi Local Aboriginal Land Council to deliver a culturally informed cool burn demonstration on Worimi Country, bringing together community members, land managers, and fire practitioners. Led by Worimi Elders and knowledge holders, the event demonstrated the ancient technique used to care for Country, manage vegetation, and promote ecological balance. The burn highlighted how Aboriginal land management practices are deeply connected to seasonal knowledge and respect for the land. The event created a valuable space for learning, collaboration and cultural exchange, reinforcing the importance of Indigenous leadership in natural resource management.
