Did you know that the District regularly held a “Debutante Ball”
If a thing is worth doing, it is worth doing well they say, so that is why Mangrove Mountain Lions Club are postponing their Debutante Ball until 9th September. In one swift blow 5 prospective debs decided this was not the right time for them to make their debut.
So with a few extra weeks to prepare, the Lions are hoping other young ladies will seize this opportunity to become debutantes for 1989 with the Mangrove Mountain Lions Club – come on girls – this is your year. Ring Russell Pearce and ‘start the ball rolling’.
Debutantes or not – there will be a great ball on 9th September. The weather will be warmer by then, so ring some friends and plan to dance the night away.
Dress is semi-formal and the band will play all your favourite dance music. The new caterers at the R.S.L., Annie and Ben Chan have promised a special menu so everything is set for a great night. Ring Lion Russell Pearce on 72 1367 or Lion Jenny Vile on 40 1039 to book your tickets at a mere $30 – they are waiting to hear from you.
