Our Country Fair will be held on Saturday, 17th October. The theme for this year’s Contemporary Art Prize is: “Shades of Yesterday”
The phrase “shades of yesterday” refers to something in the present that reminds a person of a person, event, or era from the past. It is a metaphorical expression used to describe a connection, echo, or haunting memory of past times.
This category, that is linked to a set theme, sparks great interest each year, and we are always thrilled with the quality of the entries.
Entries can be any medium and we encourage diversity. Our sculptural entries have been very interesting. I look forward to our first digital or film responses!
Entry is free and the winner will receive a cash prize of $200 in addition to the honour of the award.
Entries from artists over 16 years of age can be delivered to the Mangrove Mountain Hall on: Thursday, 15th October between 3pm and 5pm or Friday, 16th October between 8am and no later than 11am.
