The community run Mangrove Mountain Country Fair was a huge success, absolute beautiful weather with the most people we have ever seen, all smiling enjoying the day.
In my 29 years of helping at the fair I have never seen such line ups of happy people patiently waiting for their Devonshire Teas. It reminded me of the Royal Easter Show. Our volunteers and the community spirit of helping each other really stands out on these special occasions. It’s where local residents become family and make new friends.
I would also like to report that CWA NSW was nominated for the volunteer of the year awards. We attended the presentations at West Gosford RSL and were honoured by being presented our certificate by Dr Gordon Reid. We are all very proud of our branch.
We meet the 3rd Monday of every month at Kulnura Memorial Hall, starting at 11.30am.
Come visit and have a cuppa, we’d love to see you. Our branch is slowly growing and it’s wonderful that next February we are 80 years old. That’s 80 years of community spirit and friendships. A wonderful legacy for the district.
Till next time,
Christine Sanfilippo
