Enter the Fair

Visitors to our Country Fair often comment about the great displays in the Hall, beautiful flowers, amazing handicrafts and all the rest! Only there for a few hours, entered Thursday and Friday, judged Friday night, home again Saturday. But for those hours on Saturday, the Hall and its contents are magnificent! And a credit to all the people, adults and children, including our local schools, who enter and organise. There are a few changes from previous years. We have allowed 2 entries in some categories, where there is room for more entries. Adults can now enter Macrame and children can make a Cardboard fort or castle. We have introduced a special Halloween theme, in adults’ craft and cooking and children’s cooking. I wonder where Mountain imaginations will take that? The Mangrove Mountain Evening Branch of the CWA is once again providing 8 encouragement cash prizes in various adult craft and cooking categories. Please cut out the competition schedule in this Community News and keep it handy as you think about what you are going to enter this year.
