Wonders of Flat Rocks Ridge — March 22nd
Adventure into the heart of Hawkesbury sandstone country for sites, botany and history. Starting with morning tea at a Hawkesbury River cafe.
Walk in wonder along bush tracks to the headwaters of Gunderman and Mill Creeks. Explore sandstone overhangs, caves and gullies. Enjoy the abundance of botanical flora including orchids, pea flowers, grevillea and hakea with identification of birds and plants from local experts. We gradually ascend through gullies past spectacular water gums and angophoras to Flat Rocks Ridge – a long Aboriginal engraving gallery stretching for kilometers.
Medium level of fitness and bush walking experience required. Distance total 10km.

History Afloat: Kayak Pumpkin Creek — March 29th
Kayak the mysterious waterway of Pumpkin Point Creek. A beautiful and immersive tour gliding with the tide. Lunch at an abandoned homestead.
Launching from Spencer we paddle into the Hawkesbury River past Greenmans, the site of the first inn on the Lower Hawkesbury River, and many ghost stories. Enjoy the birdlife along this stretch of the Lower Hawkesbury including soaring sea eagles, pelicans, herons, fishing cormorants, and kingfishers.
Double kayaks, all gear, morning tea and lunch provided.
