It is with deep sadness that we share the unexpected passing of our Unit Commander, Matt le Clercq.
Matt was an exceptional leader whose dedication, compassion, and tireless commitment to protecting our community inspired everyone around him. His leadership helped shape our unit into more than just a team. Wyong Unit became a place where people felt safe, supported, and part of a family.
Matt’s impact on our members, our community, and the SES will be felt for many years to come. His legacy lives on through the people he mentored, the friendships he built, and the countless lives he touched through his service.
Our thoughts and heartfelt condolences are with Matt’s family, friends, and fellow SES members during this incredibly difficult time. Matt’s passing is believed to be due to an unexpected medical episode, and we ask that you keep his family, friends and colleagues in your thoughts as they navigate the days ahead.
