Lesley Bryce , the ambassador for the not-for-profit Aged care Provider Trilogy Country Care and founder of Bell cares in Queensland is visiting the Spencer / Mangrove Mountain region on Wednesday 2nd of September.
The “Community Managed Program” is Lesley’s co-creation with the Trilogy Care Foundation as an alternative higher value Aged Care option for people in small rural areas who want to stay living in their own homes for longer.
Her story was been shared on “Landline” on the ABC, and what happened next was extraordinary, the Foundation now has 20 Community Managed Programs up and running successfully across rural Australia.
Lesley set it up for the first time in the little town of Bell during the pandemic, where services were virtually non-existent. From no clients at all, Bell Cares grew to over 100 Aged care clients and built up a formidable service workforce in the community that is always available to draw on. At her Presentation on Sept 2nd, Lesley will share her vision of how to create a sustainable environment for Aged care in rural and remote Australia, not only for older people but for the younger people that are living in these towns and need an income. With over 30 years’ experience in Aged Care, Lesley’s story will entertain and inform.
If you’d be interested in having a chat with Lesley and hearing her story she will be in the Mangrove Mountain / Spencer area on Wednesday September 2nd at a venue yet to be confirmed. Watch this space!.
