Our upcoming class will guide you through these distinctions, helping you to master the art of making preserves. Whether your interest lies in sweet jams or tangy relishes, this session will clarify what sets each type apart and provide practical insights for creating them at home.
Preserve Making Skills
This session is designed to teach you valuable skills for transforming surplus fruit and vegetables into delicious preserves. You’ll learn a range of techniques, including how to properly prepare your ingredients and cook them to perfection. On Saturday, 09/05/2026, we will focus on making plum jam, a homemade relish, and possibly lemon butter. By learning these methods, you’ll be able to make the most of your produce and enjoy the satisfaction of homemade goods.
Preparation and Best Practices
Throughout the class, we’ll discuss thorough washing and preparation of bottles, as well as essential do’s and don’ts for successful preserve making.
Class Details: The session will run from 10:30 AM to 1:30 PM. Preserve making, particularly jam, requires patience and attention to detail.
