Australian Plants Society Central Coast presents Dr. Tanya Hoolihan at our March meeting:

A Botanical Journey with Ludwig Leichhardt

This presentation will look at the return journey Ludwig Leichhardt walked from Newcastle, through Lake Macquarie to East Gosford and the botanical specimens he collected along the way.

In addition Tanya will discuss briefly her PhD study and the botanical illustrations completed as part of her research.

Tanya completed her PhD in Natural History Illustration from the Newcastle University where she lectured for several years in Botanical Illustration. Her PhD documented the botanical collection of German born explorer Ludwig Leichhardt.
