As at 26/9/26 there were 652 positive events across Australia with 67 in New South Wales.
On the Central Coast there were four wild birds affected, all were Greater Crested Terns found at Woy Woy, Booker Bay, Long Jetty and Tuggerah.
The adult terns primarily breed in coastal environments and travel up to 50km offshore to feed.
Young terns travel much longer distances, up to 2390km, to establish new ranges.
