With Spring upon us, it’s time once again for Yarramalong Valley’s famous Scarecrow Competition. Hosted by Yarramalong School Community Centre with the support of our fabulous sponsors Elders Real Estate and Yarramalong Farm Supplies, the competition is now open and will run until Sunday 20th September 2026.
To enter the competition, pay your $25 entry fee and pick up your entry placard from either Angel Sussurri, 1-4 Linga Longa Rd, Yarramalong or from Yarramalong Farm Supplies, 148 Yarramalong Rd, Wyong Creek. Entries will be accepted throughout the duration of the competition
For those Valleyers and nearby neighbours who have never joined in the fun of making and presenting a scarecrow, this is a great way to connect to others in your community and now’s the time to have a go. For Coasties and those from further afield who enjoy a valley drive, what better time to take a trip and view these fabulous creations!
Keep in touch via our website at https://yarramalongcommunitycentre.org.au where you’ll find everything you need to know and where you can also view all the crows and vote online for your favourite. Updates will also be available via social media and other community publications as well as a local letterbox drop.
Winners will be announced at Yarramalong Community Centre’s Multi Arts Expo on Sunday 27th September at 12 midday.
