Seniors’ Stories is a writing competition aimed at celebrating the lives and contributions of seniors by giving them an opportunity to share their own short stories about their life experiences.
NSW Seniors Card introduced the Seniors’ Stories writing competition in 2013 as a way of recognising and valuing the experiences of NSW seniors and building connections between the young and old.
For each edition the top 100 stories are selected and published by NSW Seniors Card and distributed to the authors and libraries across the state.
NSW Seniors Card is delighted to unveil the theme for this year’s Seniors’ Stories Volume 12: Neighbours, Strangers, and the People In Between — an invitation to explore the rich tapestry of human connection through the eyes and experiences of seniors across the state.
The 2026 writing competition will run from 2 April to 14 May, and we’re calling on all NSW Seniors Card and Senior Savers Card members to share their stories.
