GET INVOLVED – Developing a Community Resilience & Disaster Response Plan

The next community participation event will be used to progress the development of a community resilience and disaster response plan.
Also to help residents prepare their own resilience and emergency plans.
Don’t wait for a bushfire, flood or storm – GET READY!!
* What are the community’s priorities in terms of getting ready for emergencies and how will we collaborate with emergency services agencies to address them?
* How will responsibility for the area be shared – are there natural boundaries or groupings that can be used (e.g. street or landscape boundaries)? Think about how access or terrain may be affected during an emergency?
* Where are the critical resources and how can they be accessed during an emergency?
* Who will keep the community regularly updated and how (e.g. will you create a local newsletter or social media group, CB’s)?
